Medieval diagnostic methods

Before the invention of modern laboratory equipment and diagnostic tools, physicians had to use more primitive techniques. As unpleasant as it sounds, medieval doctors were sometimes forced to drink the urine of their patients in order to diagnose metabolic diseases.
